The winery’s Chief Winemaker, Ana María Cumsille, visited South Korea, Hong Kong, and China to participate in the prestigious Great Wines of the World Asia 2024 fair by James Suckling, and to attend business meetings, as part of a commercial tour across the East Asian continent.
The iconic Carmen Gold 2021 and the authentic Chilean red blend, Carmen Delanz Cabernet Sauvignon Alto Jahuel 2021, were the stars of Viña Carmen’s journey to Asia, aimed at strengthening its presence and recognition in this key market.
During this tour, Ana María Cumsille represented Viña Carmen in Seoul and Hong Kong, where she participated in the Great Wines of the World Asia 2024 event, organized by renowned wine critic James Suckling.
Winemakers, critics, and wine enthusiasts from around the world gathered for the event, held during the first week of October. Each edition features over 200 wines, all rated above 92 points, making it a prestigious international platform that offers attendees the chance to taste a carefully selected collection of exceptional wines, highly praised by Suckling and his team of experts.
Following the fair, Cumsille traveled to Xi’an and Chengdu in China, where she took part in important business meetings, presenting Carmen wines at exclusive tastings and participating in a Wine Dinner. These activities highlighted Viña Carmen’s commitment to expanding its presence in the Asian market, sharing the quality and tradition of its wines with an increasingly sophisticated and discerning audience.
